What our resume review clients say

Patricia • Senior product manager
I wasn’t getting any traction — no calls, no interviews, and no responses to the applications I was sending out. That completely changed after my first session with Julia, where she reviewed and helped me revamp my resume. Almost immediately after implementing her suggestions, I started receiving responses from recruiters and companies.
Juan • Security engineer
Jai was really helpful in pointing out key elements that I was missing in my resume. It was a great conversation and left me with clear action items to improve my resume.
Jenny • Product manager
Emily completely changed the way I thought about presenting myself in a resume. Incredibly helpful, efficient, gave actionable feedback based on my goals. I only regret not doing this sooner.
Lucy • Senior data scientist
Swapnika is patient and amazing! She’s able to effectively brainstorm clear and actionable bullet points for my resume.
Stuart • CEO
It was phenomenally helpful to have Julia's stream of consciousness as she read through my resume - she gave me a lot to consider regarding my own positioning with respect to my career, and surfaced topics I hadn't considered.
Swaraj • Staff product manager
The session with Gaurav was super helpful and provided me with great clarity on my mistakes. It has helped me make my resume 10x better.
Sergio • Business intelligence engineer
Eran provided invaluable insights that reshaped my resume. He identified key transferable skills and reframed my experience to better align with my career goals. I highly recommend his coaching!
Ilya • Software engineer
Tom was an excellent listener who offered fresh and innovative ideas for standing out in the competitive tech job market. He provided valuable insights into different strategies I can explore to get my foot in the door, as well as constructive feedback on the structure and content of my resume and cover letters. His advice has given me a clear direction for improvement.
Muaz • Product manager
Emily is an exceptional coach who meets you exactly where you are in your career journey. From the start, she asked what I needed help with and tailored the entire session to address my specific needs. FAQs

Can I use credits with any coach?

Yes you can use credits with any coach.

Are credits refundable?

Yes, unused credits can be refunded within 30 days of getting purchased. After 30 days the credits cannot be refunded anymore.

If you do get a refund it will be corrected for the discount you initially got. As an example, imagine you have purchased 10 credits, and paid 10 x $48 = $480. If you end up only using 5 credits, we will refund you the difference between what you have paid ($480), and what you would have paid had you purchased 5 credits (5 x $50 = $250). So in this specific example we would refund: $480 - $250 = $230.

How much time do I have to use my credits?

You have 12 months from the date of purchase to use your credits. After 12 months your credits will expire.

What is your cancellation, "no show" and rescheduling policy?

You can cancel or reschedule coaching sessions for free as long as you do so more than 24 hours before the start of your session.

Within 24 hours, it is not be possible to reschedule or cancel your session.

If you fail to attend a coaching session or are more than 15mins late, the session will be considered a "no show" and will be counted as having been used.

How much can you really get done in 1h?

One hour might not seem like a lot. But coaches are used to making the most of the time. They’ll come ready to the session so you can cover the topics that are important to you and walk away with concrete next steps.

The coaches look intimidating, are they going to judge me?

Coaches’ bios might look intimidating because some of them have worked at big companies and have senior titles. But they’re all genuinely interested in helping you out. They’re here for you, will show empathy, and do their best to help you achieve your goals.

Ask coaches for advice on interviews, resumes, etc.

Internal IT role to Tech strategy role in MBB and Big4 ?

Top answer by
Profile picture for Franco B.
Franco B.

Hi, I spent 10 years at BCG, so the perspective I can bring is mainly the MBB one. 1) at 14 years of experience the MBA becomes secondary and what decides the hire is your track record 2) At that seniority MBBs rarely hire pure generalists, so I would build the whole application around your IT strategy, operating model and governance expertise and target the specific tech practices where it is relevant (e.g. BCG TDA or BCG Platinion). 3) Expert hiring is more ad hoc than the standard track, since roles open when a practice has a need, so talk to partners and recruiters in those practices before applying and work on getting a referral. 4) Two things to be ready for. At MBBs the rule is to adjust seniority downward when hiring from outside, so be prepared for a step back in responsibilities. I would apply to the Big 4 tech consulting practices in parallel, as they hire experienced profiles like yours more regularly. Just check that the role is really strategy, because some of those positions lean toward implementation and that profile is harder to shake later. If you want a pair of external eyes on your specific situation and more tailor made suggestions, feel free to contact me. Best, Franco

Do the coaches know what kind of system design are asked for FDE engineers at Anthropic, OpenAI and Google ?

Top answer by
Profile picture for Manny R.
Manny R.

Hi! Absolutely. I specialize in FDE system design, applied AI, and hands-on coding interview preparation, including candidates targeting OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google. I bring 34+ years of software engineering experience, including technical leadership and architecture roles at Google, AWS, Meta, and Oracle. I've coached 720+ engineers and conducted FDE-focused mock interviews on realistic enterprise AI challenges, including successful hires at these companies (check my reviews). We practice the engineering problems FDE candidates need to solve: translating ambiguous customer requirements into working, scalable, secure, production-ready AI solutions. OpenAI: Agentic AI architectures, production RAG, tool calling, enterprise API integrations, Python implementation, evaluation pipelines, reliability, observability, and deployment. Anthropic: Claude-based agents, MCP, tool use, orchestration, human-in-the-loop workflows, safety, debugging, context management, and production integration. Google: Distributed systems, cloud AI architecture, data pipelines, scalable APIs, concurrency, caching, fault tolerance, and coding. I've run realistic exercises involving banking agents, enterprise RAG, multi-agent orchestration, API design, failure recovery, and live coding. My mock interviews simulate actual interview pressure: ambiguous requirements, architectural challenges, coding, follow-up questions, trade-offs, and detailed feedback. I tailor preparation to each company's role and interview stage. While I cannot guarantee specific questions or hiring outcomes, I can provide technically rigorous, targeted preparation based on practical FDE scenarios. As your interviews approach, send me the job descriptions, interview stages, and dates. We can prioritize the most important areas and start with a mock interview ASAP. I am about to publish some videos for FDE candidates. Stay tuned!

I've worked as a Senior Platform Engineer with a much bigger scope for over 6 years, how do I get a staff, principal or architect role elsewhere?

Top answer by
Profile picture for Geoff M.

Be careful what you wish for. At many companies, especially FAANGs, the jump from Senior to Staff is huge. As other coaches have stated here, much more is expected than just technical mastery. Promotions up the career ladder work like a pyramid. Not everyone who deserves it gets promoted. And because the competition is fierce for such coveted roles, external hires applying for Staff-level roles need to be even more deserving. Be ready to walk on water twice, backward, if you are desiring a Staff role as an external candidate. Then there's the current tech job market. You don't need a coach to tell you how challenging this current lull is. Ample talent is sitting on the sidelines, willing to compromise on role and level to get employed again. Managers and Staff ICs are interviewing for tech lead roles, willing to step back to rejoin a team. Sr. Staff ICs are willing to accept a level-down to Staff. Even if you are a stellar Staff IC, your competition for those roles will be far fiercer. So ask yourself: is it better to step up to the plate and attempt to hit a grand slam (obtain a Staff-level offer), or would it be strategically better to put the ball in play, hit a single or double, get in the game as a Senior (Tech Lead), and then prove yourself to be Staff over time? How risk-averse are you? How confident are you that you will meet all expectations as a Staff Eng out of the gate? In this job market, does it make sense to lower expectations, take a Sr. role, and be promoted to Staff later? Even if you hit that grand slam, getting hired as Staff is just the first inning. Now you have to deliver daily. That's a tall order for someone external to the organization trying to assimilate into the culture, learn how to navigate the politics, draw the faction map to determine who has power and authority across the org, and then brilliantly listen, communicate, mentor, and influence across a wide swath of stakeholders. Welcome to the life of a Staff engineer.

Sr AWS TAM phone screening

Hi Venkat, I’ve worked as a TAM and coached candidates for AWS Sr. TAM interviews. The phone screen typically evaluates AWS technical depth, customer management, leadership, and real-world scenario handling. I’d suggest these topics: 1. AWS technical fundamentals — architecture, networking, security/IAM, reliability, databases, monitoring, cost optimization. 2. Customer-facing scenarios — escalations, difficult customers, competing priorities, executive communication. 3. Technical troubleshooting — how you approach outages, performance issues, and ambiguous problems. 4. Leadership & influence — influencing without authority, stakeholder management, driving adoption. 5. Cloud transformation — migration, modernization, operational excellence, Well-Architected thinking. I offer 1:1 coaching with role-specific preparation + mock interview and feedback. Happy to help you prepare specifically for your upcoming screen

Moving from Front-End Development to Product Management: How Realistic Is the Transition?

Top answer by
Profile picture for Nitin A.

Post a certain length of experience, the walls b/w pure technical and product roles become thin. Some directors at successful product org are those who have been engineering leads all through their career. Basically, while delivering a successful product as Tech-lead, you will gradually know how customer pain points are captured, converted to requirements - features, scoped, planned and delivered. I see this transition very natural for you. I think you should a) brush up on core PM deliverables viz. PRFAQs/Proposals, BRDs/PRDs, Vision and Scoping documentation, etc., b) deep-dive into instruments of customer research and feedback collation viz. surveys (primary and secondary), focus groups, POC data collection, etc., and c) focus on process to establish short/long term vision at product/portfolio level from a pure product management perspective. You will be tested on these skills for sure during PM interviews. I am not too concerned of your technical capabilities. However brush up on trade-offs PMs make on product features and choice of technology. Feel free to let me know if you have any follow-up questions.

Do Google L4 candidates get system design interviews?

Top answer by
Profile picture for Han W.
Han W.

L4 engineers build out solutions for well-defined problems with code output focus. That's why L4 candidates are not assessed on system designs. For growth opportunities, L4 engineers already working at Google could slowly take on system design opportunities to prepare for an L5 promotion. The roles and expectations of engineers at each level are clearly defined in writing at Google.
