Here are the steps you can expect to take when applying for a role at Amazon:

Resume screen. Your resume is reviewed to assess whether you’ve got the right skills and experience for the role and alignment with company culture. To increase your chances of moving forward, create a resume that highlights your impact in previous roles and matches Amazon’s Leadership Principles.
Recruiter call. If you pass the resume screen, a recruiter will contact you to discuss your background, motivations, and the role. Expect questions about your experience and how you demonstrate Amazon's values. This is also your chance to ask questions about the process.
Online assessments. Depending on the role, you may receive one or more assessments. These can include work-style questionnaires, situational judgment tests, and technical coding challenges. Be sure to complete them promptly and accurately to get to the next step.
Phone screens. These are 30- to 60-minute interviews with hiring managers or team members. You'll face technical and behavioral questions. Engineering roles may include live coding via tools like CoderPad.
