More information about Max S.

This is my 3rd time coaching with Max. He provided me very useful feedback and boost my confidence. thanks Max!

I recently had a career growth strategy consultation with Max, which was very helpful! He thoroughly analyzed my current situation, helped me identify the gaps, and provided clear recommendations for further development to be able to achieve my career goals. Huge thanks for the bits of advice!

Max helped me with the resume review. It was a nice and useful session during which Max helped me understand how to structure my resume to hook the reader's attention. He also thoroughly explained to me how the process of sorting CVs works in big tech and why I should do certain things in a particular way. Overall I'm quite happy with the session.

I was interviewed by a person who managed to reach big heights in his career. That's cool for him! But when I asked him how he did it and tried to get words of wisdom, he told me, I don't know, I was just born smart, I didn't really grind for my interviews, apart from a couple of weeks of casual leetcoding and a behavioural pramp session. Looks like the guy just naturally good at interviews and coding, but he doesn't know that for other people it's different. I tried to tell him my story, and I didn't really receive a personalised plan to improve things apart from being more smart about things and hearing his story. IDK, it felt like I've just wasted my money on 2 mock interviews with a faang employee. Which I can actually do for free by coming to an actual faang interview. In the end I got a feeling that max is a great solo worker that I'd hire, but as a mentor he's not great, because he couldn't find a personalized approach and really dig my situation. I really just got my butt hurt from his story how he's just naturally good and doesn't need to grind. Summary: I'm just a little bit pissed that I'm working my a** off solving leetcode daily, solving systems design, grinding my corporate ladder (8 YoE, Staff at Yandex), and some people get it more easy. Thx, I vented :)

The topic we discussed was not related to my application I have in pipeline, so could not tell much about it. Also Max was not really helpful in terms of how I would better structure the whole interview, e.g. how to draw and architecture, collect functional and non-functional requirements etc. After I did a similar mock interview with another person I can give Max only 2 Stars. Also repeating several times that even Junior Developers would have done better does not really help in term of actually making it better. Max told me mostly how I should NOT do it but didnt really help HOW I should do instead. Max didnt even know what an F1 score is but wants to teach me how to pass an AI/ML interview. I got helpful feedback to improve my communication style.
