Max is great to work with. We talked about the CV and his experience, then proceeded to the coding interview, which was similar to Leetcode question, but different in a sense that it looked easy, and you needed to ask clarification questions from the interviewee. Today I had a System Design session with Max.
As always, it was above and beyond. These kinds of mocks are nothing like the ones you see on YouTube. You’ll never find content like this on YouTube because real FAANG engineers who can conduct interviews for L5-level engineers don’t waste their time with youtubers.
I’d say the questions are more work-related, and the investigation part requires you to think like an engineer and investigate engineering solutions, not just apply some SD patterns you learned from "design Twitter/Facebook" type of questions. I’d highly recommend this type of mock interview with Max to every engineer who wants to apply to FAANG-like companies.
