What most excites you about your new job?
Being in the biggest tech cloud in the world and at the most challenging company.
Where were you previously?
I was Principal System Design Engineer at T-mobile.
What was your preparation strategy?
My prep time was about 10 hours per week for 1.5 months as I was preparing for two companies at the same time, and got offers from both.
I started with the IGAO company guide, learned about the AWS tech & company culture, learned about the Amazon leadership principles, found tech courses on YouTube and listened to old bar raisers. I wrote out stories and answers for a variety of questions, and worked with IGAO coaches
What was the hardest part of the whole interview process?
I found it tricky really going in-depth about stories for the behavioral/leadership principle questions. I needed to talk about all the possible outcomes and solutions for each question.
What advice would you give to other candidates?
The price for coaching at IGAO is worth the investment. The cost benefit analysis is 100 times more.
