What was your preparation strategy?
I spent 2 weeks writing anecdotes, then mapping them to Leadership Principles. I reviewed the anecdotes extensively to make sure I could talk about them confidently and in detail. Also spent some time reviewing and answering questions using product strategy frameworks.
The IGAO interview question frameworks were super helpful and the coaching was invaluable.
What was the hardest part of the whole interview process?
Trying to figure out which aspects of my professional experience demonstrated Amazon's Leadership Principles.
What advice would you give to other candidates?
Even anecdotes that feel mundane to you might demonstrate some kind of leadership that your next employer finds interesting!
