Larry has over 15 years experience as an engineering hiring manager, including 6 years at Amazon, where he was also a bar raiser, bar raiser trainer, and instructor of the course "SDE Functional Interviewing", which trains Amazon engineers how to conduct technical interviews. As a bar raiser and hiring manager he's conducted over 500 interviews where he was a key decision maker. Larry has led interviews for nearly every technical role at Amazon across nearly all departments. He particularly enjoys helping EM, TPM and SDE candidates ace their interviews. Today, Larry is taking a break from big companies and is working on a stealth startup, while still making time for his passion of coaching and mentoring.

My session with Larry was great! I was feeling overwhelmed and confused about preparing my stories for behavioral interviews and he walked me through a framework that made the process feel so much more doable. We also talked through some of my experiences and he helped me understand whether they were suitable for my story bank or not. Behavioral interviews are the interview type with the highest rate of false negatives in my opinion, so I'm glad I found Larry because he gave me some really actionable advice to help with this.
